Koriyama Culture Park
“Koriyama Culture Park” is a leisure complex featuring an amusement park, pool facilities, and a culture center. This year marks its 30th anniversary.
Once you step inside, even though it’s in the city, it feels like a peaceful suburban retreat, surrounded by the sounds of singing birds and buzzing insects. Model Yuka Fukushima visited and energetically explored this local favorite.
Below is a guide to each attraction so you can plan your visit and make the most of your day.

Now I’m getting in!

Roller Coaster
Roller Coaster – The Highlight of the Amusement Park
No amusement park is complete without a roller coaster! It climbs slowly before suddenly diving down, giving you a rush of adrenaline.
The course is 700 meters (about 2,300 ft) long, featuring twists, turns, and elevation changes. It’s scary but thrilling, and guaranteed to deliver heart-pounding fun for all visitors!

Go-Kart
Go-Karting – Drive Smart and Have Fun!
Hit the accelerator and brake at the right moments to navigate the course safely. Take the inner lane on curves to shorten your route and improve your lap time.
Two-seater karts are available, making it perfect for couples and families to enjoy the thrill together!

“It’s actually my first time riding a go-kart, but so fun and authentic! I want come back and try the two-seater next time!”
Great Poseidon
Pirate Ship – A Thrilling Swing Ride
Another favorite alongside the roller coaster is the pirate ship ride. Shaped like a ship with a Poseidon-inspired design, it swings dynamically back and forth, giving the sensation of being tossed by giant waves.
The closer you sit to the edge, the stronger the swing, and at the highest point, you can experience a thrilling moment of weightlessness!

Small Locomotive
Benkei-go – The Charming Miniature Train
This bright red locomotive, called “Benkei-go”, can carry up to 63 children at a time. It travels at a gentle pace through an area lined with metasequoia and cherry blossom trees, letting passengers enjoy a relaxing mini train ride.
Along the way, you’ll pass through a tunnel, spot small animals in the grass, and hear the train horn at crossings—making it feel like a real little railway adventure. A play area surrounds the track, perfect for kids to enjoy before or after their ride.

“Everything looks so real with a beautiful nature view, cute animals, and announcements made by a conductor!”
Paratrooper
Mushroom Ride – Feel Like You’re Parachuting
This ride features mushroom-shaped umbrellas, and the seats tilt as they rotate, giving you the sensation of floating like a parachute. Closing your eyes makes it even more exciting, as each drop feels like you’re gliding through the air!
