“Koriyama Culture Park” is a leisure complex facility that contains an amusement park, pool facility, and a culture center. It is the 30th year since its founding.

Once you walk into the place, despite being in the city, it feels like you are in a suburban area with singing birds and bugs. A model, Yuka Fukushima visited and energetically tried this nearby leisure spot. Below you can read the instruction of each attraction.

The roller coaster course is 700m (about 2300ft) with various curves and elevation differences. So scary, but fun!! A thrilling excitement is guaranteed.

“It’s actually my first time riding a go-kart, but so fun and authentic! I want come back and try the two-seater next time!”

Great Poseidon

One of the most popular thrill rides as well as the roller coaster. The ship shaped ride with a Poseidon-like design dynamically swings back and forth, which is like a real boat being tossed about by giant waves. The closer you sit to the edge, the harder it swings! At the highest point, you can feel weightlessness.

Small Locomotive

This bright red small locomotive, “Benkei-go” can carry up to 63 children at a time. It runs around the zone surrounded by metasequoia and cherry blossom trees at a moderately slow speed, blowing out steam. It feels like a short railway trip, passing through a tunnel, seeing small animals in grass, and hearing a train horn near the crossing. There is a play space surrounded by the railway track.

“Everything looks so real with a beautiful nature view, cute animals, and announcements made by a conductor!”

Paratrooper

With the mushroom shaped umbrellas, the seats rotate at an oblique angle, which makes it feel like you are parachuting. It is fun riding with eyes closed, which gives you a sense of floating in the air every time it goes down!
