These limited-time delights make autumn a truly magical season for food lovers.

Traditional Japanese Sweets
Kurikinton “Kurimu” (¥150, tax included) is a seasonal treat made from domestic chestnuts and granulated sugar. Each chestnut is carefully shelled and mashed by hand, then shaped using a tea napkin to create this delicate sweet.
The astringent skin, the natural color, and the aroma all come directly from the chestnut itself. The refined sweetness, reminiscent of a rakugan (Japanese hard candy), gradually melts on your tongue.
This autumn-only luxury sells out quickly, so reservations are recommended!

This traditional Japanese sweet shop was founded in 1822.
In addition to the main shop in Kiyomizudai, there’s the Araike Park location, which is easily accessible by car.

You’re free to choose your favorites, and most of the products are reasonably priced.
You can also find rare treats, such as Fumanju, made with nama-fu (fresh gluten cakes), which is available only in summer.
This confectionery shop has been carefully crafting seasonal sweets for generations, including classics like Yubeshi Manju and Sengoro Yokan, preserving traditional flavors while delighting new visitors.

“Daikokuya Kuri Namadora” (¥183, tax included) is an autumn-limited treat! Even from the side, it looks adorable.
Inside, fluffy, springy, and thin dorayaki cakes sandwich smooth homemade chestnut cream, sweet red bean paste, and a whole chestnut with its astringent skin. Opening the bag releases the pleasant aroma of the chestnut skin, making it even more tempting.
Not too sweet and perfectly sized, it’s absolutely irresistible for chestnut lovers—so good that you’ll want another one immediately!

“Koriyama Kurunama Choco Cake” (¥164, tax included) – Autumn Limited
This seasonal treat combines the rich aroma of cacao with plenty of fresh cream chocolate and a whole chestnut, all wrapped in soft ganache dough.
Each bite melts in your mouth, delivering the perfect balance of chocolate and chestnut. Small enough to enjoy in just a mouthful or two, it’s a delightful way to taste the essence of autumn.

Located directly across from Jusendo General Hospital, this shop is easy to spot thanks to its striking white Western-style building.

There are two eat-in spaces inside the shop. You can buy and eat sweets here.

Packed with whole almonds, the most popular “Maru de Almond” (¥130, tax excluded) is a candy that’s as delicious as it is nutritious. Almonds are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, which are said to be good for beauty and health, and one piece is considered enough to cover your daily intake.
The butterscotch coating adds a rich sweetness, while allowing you to fully enjoy the flavor of the almonds inside. A satisfying, body-friendly treat that tastes as good as it is wholesome ♪
“Sesame (White)” (¥110, tax excluded) & “Sesame (Black)” (¥110, tax excluded)

This Jonamagashi features motifs of autumn and showcases the unique elegance of Japanese aesthetics. With its delicate sweetness, enjoying one can make time feel a little slower—offering a truly gentle, peaceful moment with your tea.
