Fukushima Fireworks Festival – July 26th
The Fukushima Fireworks Festival, a long-standing event that beautifully colors the summer of Fukushima City, will mark its 47th edition in 2025. Held at Shinobugaoka Ryokuchi (green space), located near the confluence of the Abukuma and Matsukawa Rivers, the display is set against a picturesque waterfront backdrop—one of the festival’s main highlights. Around 8,000 fireworks will be launched, ranging from mid-sized shells to massive 10-inch shells (shakudama), along with rapid-fire starmine displays synchronized with music, lighting up the night sky with breathtaking color and light.
